Spark Studio is a creative space that offers programmes in visual arts education and creative expression for adults of all abilities, with particular care given to ensuring those with diverse needs are provided for. Spark provides a unique environment where learning and self development through creative process is achieved.

Students learn about media, techniques and elements of art making through individual and group tuition – they are supported to explore and experiment and to develop new ways of thinking and methods of working.

The Spark Studio art tutors offer a range of diverse skills and abilities. Collectively they are experienced and trained in art education, fine and visual arts, art therapy and health care.

The tutors all have in common a passionate interest in creative activities – and a desire to equip and enable their students to learn, grow and become articulate and proficient in their art making.

The tutors bring a particular sensitivity in their interactions with their students in the challenges they face in learning about and making art within the complexities and parameters of their disability.
