Brendon is 25 years old. He is a young man with many disabilities – Severe quadriplegic cerebral palsy, epilepsy, low vision, gastric reflux and associated gastrostomy feeds. His intellect is well intact and to this end he enjoys all things associated with being a young man. Brendon is totally dependent on others for every aspect of his life.

Brendon is a great communicator once you have earned his trust and learned to read his ‘special signs.’ These include his body language, the way he uses his eyebrows, and his utterances which will definitely be of pleasure or of great annoyance.

Brendon is a very social man but finds maintaining eye contact very difficult as he only uses his peripheral visual abilities. He loves being out and about, being challenged intellectually, being included in group activities and of course not being treated as ‘a baby or someone to be pitied”.
Brendon thoroughly enjoys his art sessions –this is either achieved with the use of a paintbrush attached to a head piece or with the carer giving ‘hand –over-hand’ assistance.
Brendon’s artworks have been sold at Spark Studio Auctions in the past and this has given him a great deal of pleasure (a real purpose for the effort it takes him to produce his art)
