This a space for women to share personal experiences and stories, to feel validated and empowered through the art making process and achieve capability in textile art. Participants have been introduced to mixed media and textile art and have learnt and explored techniques in stitching, drawing, water colour, acrylic paint, collage, appliqué, transferring images and using a sewing machine. The classes have examined established women artists and the key concerns that arise in their work. Students are encouraged to explore themes generated by their own experience as women and living with disability.
